Define the equipment and operating conditions first
The acceptance scope should match the contract or technical agreement: complete line, individual machine or retrofit. Agree the material, tube specification, tooling, operating conditions and site interfaces used for the test.
The same model may operate under different conditions with different configurations. Records from another project do not verify this one, and results achieved separately on different samples should not be combined into a single integrated-run result.
Turn requirements into executable checks
Each requirement should explain what is measured, how, under which conditions and who records it. Agree test duration, sampling and acceptance limits for the product and project; a generic set of numbers cannot replace that agreement.
- Tube dimensions, wall thickness and agreed finished-product quality requirements
- Operating conditions and product combinations to be demonstrated
- Cut length, length tolerance and cut-end inspection methods
- Operating conditions for electrical, cooling and other interfaces
- Test records, issue lists and responsibilities for retesting and confirmation
What do factory and site tests demonstrate?
Factory test arrangements and available services may differ from the installed production line. Each record should state which equipment was connected and which utilities and materials were used, rather than only saying that operation was normal.
Integrated site operation checks how the supplied equipment works with site equipment, electrical supply, cooling and run-out arrangements. Agree which checks take place at the factory and which at the site, and keep the corresponding records.
Keep retest evidence when closing an issue
On an issue list, "addressed", "partly complete" and "confirmed by retest to meet the agreed requirement" are different states. Link the equipment, issue, corrective action, retest conditions and result, and keep outstanding items visible.
Acceptance is not measured by the volume of paperwork. Each conclusion needs a clear connection to the agreed conditions and actual records, providing a useful basis for later training, maintenance and technical discussions.
